Once the IC card is inserted into the control instrument on the faucet, tap water will flow out. This is a new thing in Changning Branch Road Vegetable Market under Jiuhua Group in Changning District. In the past, vegetable vendors each shared 20 yuan of water fees, but now they use IC cards to draw water for their own use. Chen Ganglin, the party branch secretary of Changning Branch Road Vegetable Market, told reporters, "From January to May this year, the entire vegetable market only used 568 tons of water, while the same period last year was 1,131 tons."
Relevant personnel from the Municipal Economic Commission said that such a good way of energy saving is expected to be promoted to vegetable markets throughout the city.
In the past, it was wasted if it was not used
In Changning Branch Road Vegetable Market, there is no longer the phenomenon of wet ground in general vegetable markets. "In the past, we had to pay 20 yuan a month. If we don't use it, we'll waste it. We'll use as much as possible!" A vegetable vendor surnamed Li told reporters, "Now, of course, we have to be more frugal when spending our own money. We'll spend eight or nine yuan a month."
"In the past, vendors didn't have the concept of saving water, but now they've learned to use water for multiple purposes," said Pan Zhongren, manager of Changzhi Vegetable Market. The reporter saw a vendor carrying a bucket and a bunch of vegetables to a public tap and inserting his IC card. "First, use a bucket to collect water and wash the vegetables. The water can be used to wipe the stall, flush the floor, etc., so it won't be wasted," said the vendor.
Save half of the water compared to the same period last year
The high water consumption has always been a big problem for Changzhi Vegetable Market. In the case that it is difficult to install a water meter for each stall, Jiuhua Group in Changning District found the "IC Kara Water Machine" on the Internet and quickly put it into use in several standardized vegetable markets.
Wang Shijie, deputy general manager of Changzhi Vegetable Market, calculated this for the reporter. From January to May this year, the entire vegetable market spent 15,345.60 yuan on water and used 568 tons of water; the figures for the same period last year were 30,557.52 yuan and 1,131 tons of water, saving 49.78% year-on-year. Interestingly, the stall owners may have figured out a set of new ways to save water through using it for a few months, and the water consumption figures have been declining for a few months.
Now, five vegetable markets in Changning District have used the "IC Kara water machine"
It is expected to be promoted in vegetable markets across the city
In addition to saving water, Changzhi Vegetable Market has also come up with a new way to save energy, replacing all the light bulbs in the vegetable market with energy-saving lamps, and turning off all the lights from 12 noon to 3 pm when there is little traffic and sufficient light. "Many meat stalls like high-wattage bulbs very much. The light shines on the meat and the color looks good." In order to solve this contradiction, Changzhi Vegetable Market installed yellow energy-saving lamps with large red lampshades on all the meat stalls and lowered them. "The effect is similar to before." Through this method, the electricity consumption of the entire vegetable market has also been saved by about 20% compared with before.
This year, all the newly built standardized vegetable markets in Changning District will use "IC Kara water machines" and "IC Kara motors". Relevant experts from the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau told reporters that it can enable everyone to learn to start from self-interest, which is also a good way for the whole society to save resources.
Recently, the Municipal Economic Commission has also organized many districts and counties to learn energy-saving experience in the vegetable markets in Changning District. Relevant people told reporters that starting from this year, this new energy-saving method will be expected to be promoted to newly built standardized vegetable markets in the city.
